Christian Garrier
Artist and teacher at L’ENSAPLV (Paris)
Since February, 2004, and every week until November, 2006, Christian Garrier, artist and teacher at the Superior National School of Architecture of Paris La Villette, filmed the construction site of the completion of the church Saint Pierre de Firminy-Vert. He accumulated 120 hours of rushes which allowed him the realization of two DVD. The first one, ” Pad of Construction site “, shows the evolution of the building up to the second works.
The second, “Interviews”, is a meeting of conversations driven by Frédéric Morvan, architect and historian, with the various actors of this architectural and human adventure: workers, elected representatives, entrepreneurs, architects, presenters of the heritage. These two documents constitute the memory of this exceptional construction site.
Duration of the film « the pad of construction site » : 52 minutes.
The film « interview » is an interactif film.
