BESONÍAS ALMEIDA is an architectural studio founded by Argentinian architects María Victoria Besonías and Guillermo de Almeida. Both have been practising independently since 1975 and have been members of the BAKarquitectos studio from 2000 to 2012.

MARÍA VICTORIA BESONÍAS was born on 18 October 1947 in Madrid, Spain. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires in 1975. She has been Professor of Architecture at the University of Buenos Aires. She is a member of the Board of Jurors of the Colegio de Arquitectos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (CAPBA) and of the Board of Jurors of the Federación Argentina de Entidades de Arquitectura (FADEA). He has participated as a juror in numerous architectural competitions. In 2012 he received the Lifetime Achievement and Merit Award from the Senate of the Province of Buenos Aires.

GUILLERMO DE ALMEIDA was born on 12 November 1945 in Buenos Aires. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires in 1975. He has been a professor of Architecture at the University of Buenos Aires, Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Morón in Buenos Aires and member of the Superior Council of the College of Architects of the Province of Buenos Aires. He is currently a member of the Board of Juries of the same institution.
